What aftercare should I follow after having Cellulite Treatment?
In order to achieve optimum results from your Cellulite Treatment, it is advisable to follow our aftercare advice.
Following Cellulite Treatment;
- Ice can be applied to the treatment area to help bring down any swelling
- Do not wash or take a shower/bath for at least 4 hours following treatment
- Arnica gel can be applied to help diminish any bruising
- Do NOT take any anti-inflammatories (aspirin, Ibuprofen etc) or Vitamin E for 24 hours post treatment. Paracetamol can be taken for pain relief
- Avoid hot tubs, saunas and massage for 48 hours post treatment
- Avoid direct sun exposure 2 weeks following treatment
Are there any individuals who should not have Cellulite Treatment?
Despite Cellulite Treatment being proven as a safe treatment, it is contraindicated in some individuals.
You should not consider having Cellulite Treatment if:
- You are pregnant
- You are breastfeeding
- You have uncontrolled diabetes
- You have active cancer
- You have an active infection or skin disease
- You suffer from an immunosuppressive disease
Are there any adverse effects that I should know about?
Cellulite Treatment is a safe and effective procedure. Adverse effects from this procedure are rare and often preventable.
Adverse effects include:
- Skin hyperesthesia
- Tender subcutaneous nodules at injection site
